Artist and Art Economist Ru Ceylan, who created the concept in 2015 with actress Selen Öztürk, presented the “Talking Pictures” exhibition to art enthusiasts in Barcelona, Spain on April 19th.
The concept, created by actress Selen Öztürk and artist Ru Ceylan, focuses on the life stories of literary figures. Ten works selected from the exhibition, along with the stories accompanying the oil paintings, were narrated by Turkey’s leading actors İrem Helvacıoğlu and Alican Yücesoy, who accompanied Ru Ceylan on his journey to Spain.
At the exhibition, actress İrem Helvacıoğlu narrated the story of Medea from world tragedy, while actor Alican Yücesoy narrated the story of Cahit Sıktı Tarancı from Turkish Literature. On Saturday, April 20th, İrem Helvacıoğlu and Alican Yücesoy joined Ru Ceylan in a panel discussion with art enthusiasts.
