Canon, a leader in imaging technologies, has announced a collaboration with the Coral Spawning Lab in London Morden to support global efforts in revitalizing coral reefs.
Through this partnership, a group of researchers has achieved the world’s first predictable coral spawning event within a fully closed system to examine and understand the life cycles of corals in more detail.
Peter Bragg, Director of Sustainability and Public Relations at Canon EMEA, stated, “As a company committed to environmental conservation, we are delighted to collaborate with such a talented research team at the Coral Spawning Lab. It is encouraging to see our state-of-the-art imaging equipment being used to help rescue and enhance the resilience of coral reefs, which are crucial for preserving a healthy ecosystem.”
