Due to the voluntary retirement of Ömer Yüngül, who has served as the Zorlu Holding CEO and Board Member for 27 years, including the last 10 years as CEO, Bekir Cem Köksal will take over the role of CEO.
Köksal holds a master’s in Business Administration from Bilkent University and a bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Istanbul University.
Köksal, who has been the CFO of Zorlu Holding since 2002, will hand over this role to Alp Dayı, the CFO of Vestel, as of March 1, 2024.
Ahmet Zorlu, the Chairman of the Board of Zorlu Holding, expressed gratitude to Ömer Yüngül for his outstanding services to the Group since 1997. He acknowledged Yüngül’s significant contributions, emphasizing his unique values, vision, and innovative approach that have enriched the Group. “Yüngül will continue to share his experience as a Board Member in our Group companies,” he said.
Ahmet Zorlu also praised Bekir Cem Köksal, stating, “Our new CEO, Bekir Cem Köksal, has significantly contributed to the development of strategic plans that have positioned Zorlu Group as one of the most valuable brands in our country. In addition to his role as Zorlu Holding CFO, Köksal, as a Board Member of the Holding and Group companies, has played a key role in shaping these strategic plans. I wholeheartedly believe that Bekir Cem Köksal will carry the flag he inherits to even greater heights.
