Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kırman, Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of Şişecam, received the “Glass Person of The Year 2023” award, known as the “Oscar of the Glass Industry,” from the Phoenix Award Committee in a special ceremony held in Como, Italy, in recognition of his contributions to the development of the global glass industry.
Regarding being honored with the “Glass Person of The Year” award, Prof. Dr. Kırman expressed the following: “Being recognized with this special award, which has been presented to individuals who are important to the global glass industry and contribute to the sector for more than 50 years, is of great significance to me. It is inspiring in terms of motivation and responsibility that what we have achieved in the glass industry, of which I am very proud to be a part after a career in the judiciary, academia, and banking, is being observed and appreciated. I want to thank the esteemed committee members.”
