Gözde Ünverdi Arslan, the HIV Business Unit Director at Gilead Sciences Turkey, has been appointed as the Senior Director of Sales and Marketing for the Middle East at Gilead. With this appointment, the number of executives transferred from Gilead Turkey to Gilead’s global management has reached 17 in the last five years.
During her career in the pharmaceutical industry, Arslan has led many successful projects at various international pharmaceutical companies and joined Gilead Turkey two years ago as the HIV Business Unit Director. In her new role, she will lead Gilead’s operations management and business development activities in the Middle East, dealing with HIV, viral hepatitis, anti-fungal, and COVID-19. Arslan will be responsible for 12 countries where Gilead operates in the Middle East.
Arslan holds an Executive MBA and a bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering, both from Boğaziçi University.
