Avon has released the 2024 Global Progress for Women Report results, which investigate women’s perceptions of their safety and experiences.
The Global Progress for Women Report, compiled by evaluating survey studies with 7,000 women in 7 countries, reveals a regression in critical areas such as gender equality in wages, opportunities, and decision-making processes.
Avon’s Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa (APMA) Regional Managing Director, Orkun Gül, stated that this report shows the challenges faced by women worldwide and highlights the inadequacy of solutions. He continued, “We clearly see that many women do not feel safe at home, in the workplace, on the streets, or in parks due to gender discrimination, and moreover, there has been a regression in the gains made in eliminating this discrimination. In this regard, society needs to support women in participating in the economy and reaching their full potential. At Avon, we continue our fight to create a world where women have gender equality and economic freedom by encouraging the participation of women entrepreneurs in the economy and opening up new opportunities. Our report aims to promote solidarity and offer hope to women.”
