Janssen Türkiye launched the “Same Picture with Different Colors” awareness campaign in partnership with Ruh Sağlığı Gönüllüleri Eğitimi Derneği on World Schizophrenia Day to raise awareness about schizophrenia, societal prejudices against patients, and patients’ ability to integrate into life when supported.
As part of the project, paintings created by individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia who continue their treatments were exhibited at the Galataport İstanbul.
Laetitia Decroix Guilloux, Managing Director of Janssen TURGAN, emphasized the significance of May 24 as a day to unite all societal colors in the same picture. Guilloux stated, “Supporting individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia is of paramount importance to Johnson & Johnson. The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, was founded by Dr. Paul Janssen, the scientist who discovered the molecule that revolutionized schizophrenia treatment. Following Dr. Janssen’s legacy, we have been actively involved in raising awareness about schizophrenia in our country for over a decade. We are committed to providing the most effective solutions for disease management and patient care. Furthermore, we conduct awareness campaigns to address misconceptions about schizophrenia and reshape societal attitudes towards the illness. Today, with our ‘Same Picture with Different Colors’ campaign, we want to convey the message that when supported, individuals with schizophrenia can integrate into life more easily. We believe that sharing the paintings created by schizophrenia patients with the public will inspire many patients and their families.”
