Richard W. Smith inspected the foundations for the new global FedEx air transit facility at İGA İstanbul Airport

FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. and the world’s largest express transportation company, along with Richard W. Smith, President, and CEO, Airline & International, FedEx Express, inspected the foundations for the new global FedEx air transit facility at İGA İstanbul Airport with business leaders and airport management.

Smith mentioned FedEx’s commitment to Turkey’s rising importance as a rapidly growing market in international air cargo, saying: “At FedEx, our business is trade, so we are very excited to invest in Istanbul Airport, a strategic cargo hub connecting six continents. Turkey is a crucial market for FedEx, with its excellent infrastructure, connectivity, and vibrant business environment. Once completed, this new facility will enhance our capabilities and further open up global growth opportunities for our customers.”
