Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Health Department organized a workshop to combat vectors that mass spread diseases to humans and animals, affecting public health in epidemic form.
During the workshop, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Health Department President Dr. Önder Yüksel Eryiğit stated, “In Istanbul’s fight against vectors, we conduct control and spraying activities using the most advanced scientific integrated methods in the world. While combating vectors, we make superior efforts to maintain the natural balance and eliminate factors that would cause environmental pollution.”
Moderating the Dynamic Solutions in Vector Control workshop, Prof. Dr. Bülent Alten emphasized the need for a non-political approach to vector control efforts, in line with the work carried out for public health.
